Hi, I'm Samyog Paudel

I spend my days trying to break software before your users get the chance to — across web apps, mobile, APIs, and the real-time systems holding them all together.

// about

A QA engineer who likes fixing the process, not just the bugs

I've spent the last three years finding the things nobody wants to find — race conditions in real-time syncs, broken auth flows, push notifications that quietly fail on Android but work fine everywhere else. My background covers manual testing, API validation, automation, security testing, and performance work, and I'm just as comfortable writing a test plan as I am explaining to a client why a release slipped by a day.

What I actually enjoy is the process side of things: building regression suites that catch issues before they ship, setting up documentation that makes handovers painless, and mentoring junior testers so the whole team gets a little faster with every release.

Where I've worked

A quick run-through of the roles, from earliest to most recent — think of it as a build history.

CURRENT

Mid Software QA Engineer

Codavatar Tech Pvt. Ltd. Jun 2025 — Present
  • Handled QA for a Twilio-based VoIP platform — tested call flows, SMS delivery, and WebSocket real-time sync across environments, catching integration issues before they reached production.
  • Built API mock tests with DevTools to cover backend edge cases independently, and validated FCM push notification delivery across web and Android.
  • Worked with the DevOps team using k6 to run load tests that validated autoscaling behaviour under traffic spikes.
  • Used Burp Suite to run security tests on the web app, flagging issues like broken auth and sensitive data exposure before release.
  • Built an automated API regression suite for a Chrome extension, integrated with Allure Reports for clear visual test results after every run.
PASS

Mid Software QA Engineer

Bottle Technology Pvt. Ltd. Mar 2025 — Jun 2025
  • Wrote and ran functional and regression test cases for web and tablet apps; introduced documentation templates that made defect tracking and handovers noticeably cleaner.
  • Worked closely with PMs and developers during requirement reviews to define acceptance criteria early, cutting down on late-stage back-and-forth.
PASS

Junior Software QA Engineer

SB Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Aug 2023 — Mar 2025
  • Covered manual and automated testing across multiple modules, working closely with developers to understand system behaviour and reproduce defects accurately.
  • Kept test plans aligned with sprint scope and made sure QA sign-off was never the bottleneck at release time.
PASS

Associate Software QA Engineer

SB Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Oct 2022 — Aug 2023
  • Dug into recurring defects with root cause analysis, spotted patterns across releases, and wrote automated regression scripts to stop them resurfacing.
  • Coordinated QA across dev, design, and product teams during Agile sprints, keeping everyone aligned on test coverage and release readiness.

// highlights

A few things I'm proud of

Client-facing QA lead

Handled QA communication directly with clients — explained defect status in plain terms, managed expectations during tense phases, and made sure test outcomes matched what was agreed on.

Mentored junior QA engineers

Ran regular walkthroughs with junior testers on test design, defect tracking, and working within Agile teams. Watching them grow into independent contributors was genuinely satisfying.

Reduced post-release defects

Audited existing test cases, filled in the gaps with new scenarios, and standardized documentation across the team — fewer issues slipped to production, less firefighting after releases.
